Create awareness of the importance of tracking blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, and weight to maintain overall well-being.

Vaccination: Protecting Our Families from Preventable Diseases

Mental Health: Recognising, Supporting, and Seeking Help

Our Founding Members

Issac Zangre

Issac is the Executive Director and founding member of the Australian African Men’s Wellness Foundation. A qualified counsellor with a Master of Counselling, he is passionate about supporting African families through culturally informed services, advocating for men’s wellbeing, and strengthening communities across Australia.

Ukash Ali Ahmed

Ukash Ali Ahmed is Director and Co-Founder of the African Australian Men’s Wellness Foundation and Coordinator of Programs at the Multicultural Communities Council of South Australia. A recognised community leader, he champions community-led men’s health, mental wellbeing, and multicultural partnerships across South Australia.

Sidique Bah

Sidique Bah is a Founding Member and Director of the Australian African Men’s Wellness Foundation, as well as a South Australian community leader and communications professional. Originally from Sierra Leone, he is passionate about advancing multicultural inclusion, men’s wellbeing, and community engagement across South Australia.

Professor Gary Wittert

Professor Gary Wittert is Professor of Medicine at the University of Adelaide and Director of the Freemasons Centre for Male Health and Wellbeing. An internationally recognised endocrinologist and researcher, he has published more than 500 papers and is a leading expert in obesity and men’s health.

Mabok Deng Mabok Marial 

Mabok is a respected South Sudanese community leader and refugee advocate with more than two decades of service supporting multicultural communities in South Australia. He has held numerous leadership roles, served on several boards and advisory bodies, and currently works as a Refugee Service Officer with Services Australia.

Peter Agalla

Peter Agalla is a Senior Social Worker with the Department for Child Protection and a founding member of its Multicultural Services Team. With lived refugee experience and more than 15 years in child protection, he is committed to culturally responsive practice and strengthening vulnerable children, families, and communities.
